Greetings from The Water Dragons Swim Association,

We are in your community for the 2017 Summer Season!  Our mission is still on as we seek to decrease the drowning rate amongst children by providing progressive swimming programs that are catered toward fitness, fun, and learning.

According to the CDC, from 2005-2014, there were an average of 3,536 fatal unintentional drownings annually in the United States-about 10 deaths per day. About one in five people who die from drowning are children 14 and younger.  For every child who dies from drowning, another five receive emergency department care for nonfatal submersion injuries.  These nonfatal drowning injuries can cause severe brain damage that may result in long-term disabilities such as memory problems, learning disabilities, and permanent loss of basic functioning (e.g., permanent vegetative state). The more quickly CPR is started, the better the chance of improved outcomes. (www.cdc.govhomeandrecreationalsafety/waterinjuries-factsheet)

Our trainers are AED/CPR certified (Lifeguard/AED/CPR re-certification documents renewal date June 25, 2017, copy will be available June 26, 2017)  Our lead trainer has over 15 years of lifeguard experience. He is a proud veteran of the US military. Still in the business to serve our country, he has taken this matter seriously, and is the proud owner and operator of the Water Dragons Swim Association.

As we continue our mission to decrease the drowning rate amongst children, we look forward to partnering with your organization this summer.  Water Dragons Swim Association has established a donation based social service program to address the needs of low income communities. LEARN2SWIMNOW is organized for the primary purpose of teaching children and adults how to swim, uplifting the community through charitable and educational purposes as directed by the board of directors of the organization.  All public social welfare activities performed will be funded by donations to include grants, individual donations, private donations, public donations, and corporate donations. If you would like to donate, please go to our home page and simply click the donation button.

We will be providing water safety instruction, deep water acclamation, and self sustaining strokes to include the front crawl.  Once the swimmer is proficient in these areas, they will receive a certificate of completion from LEARN2SWIMNOW and will officially be ready to swim with confidence independently.

We are offering group and individual training.  Please contact our administration department via email at thewaterdragons@gmail.comor give us a call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 470-344-5476.  We look forward to hearing from you!
